Ruby is experienced with advising multinational corporations, private equity funds, executives, and wealthy families with U.S. connections with respect to their cross-border transactions and trust & estate planning needs. She has dealt with U.S. tax issues commonly seen in U.S. and foreign trusts, charitable organizations, private foundations, private equity and real estate investment by U.S. persons, and liquidity events such as IPOs or M&A. She designs tax plans with special considerations for U.S. persons abroad and those moving to the U.S.
Ruby has nearly 10 years of U.S. tax compliance experience and familiar with federal and state annual filings. She has also assisted clients communicating with U.S. federal and state and Hong Kong tax authorities in tax dispute, audit or appeal engagements.
Previously, Ruby worked with big four accounting firms in Hong Kong and Taiwan with a focus on U.S. tax services. Ruby also worked with a leading China-based law firm in Hong Kong.
Ruby is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and is fluent in English and Taiwanese. She is keen about digital worlds and sports.
